Wigan Away, & The Robinho saga

Wigan away today and City will be looking to keep the past glory of recent weeks going with the starting line up excepted to be the same as against Villa.
The danger man of the moment in my option will likely be Rodallega
In the midfield i can see N'Zogbia, Gomez, & Koumas being started and maybe some of a treating force
That been said they have got Kirkland in goal good keeper and hard to beat.
If City play with the heart and determination that we have seen a lot of this season Wigan should and could be pushed aside by Barry, Tevez, Bellamy, Adebayor Ireland if he plays the way we all know he is capable of I know he has spoken in recent interviews of playing in the new system in midfield but as He has said himself when he does master it it will make him a better player

Wigan 1 - 3 City ( I think Rodallega will poach one)

Robinho is everywhere in the news this week and I like so many other City fans are getting sick of this Barcelona and the Spanish press are trying to unsettle the player there maybe a strong chance of Robinho going in January but to say that City will take Puyol in a swap deal is nothing short of nonsense this lad is a born Catalan and has said repeatably his career will finish at Barcelona so there is a lot of crap being spread I do understand however Robbi and his comments about playing along side Messi and co in fairness they do play some good football really nice to watch football what wasn't reported so widely was how Robbi spoke very highly about City and what was going on at the the Club and that he is very happy.
Robinho to Barcelona ? answer is Yes next summer if City fail to get Champions League spot !!!
I for one will thank him for coming to the Club and trying to get City to the Euro Elite.

City go to Villa Park

City will take on Aston Villa this Monday night at 8pm

Should be a good one with Richard Dunne ready to face his old club and will be out to prove a point to Mark Hughes as he harbour ill felling to his departure from City.

If Dunny watched the match against the Manure he may very fancy a goal against his former employers with a towering header from a cornor like Flecher did for Utd his

To show Lescott his replacement a lesson in defence since them two headers Ive heard nothing but Dunny would never allowed that to happen and to be honest id agree from the point that Dunne is good in the air defensively and on the attack time and again hes proved this point so id say Lescott, & Toure are going to have to watch him from the cornors his former City team mates will be aware of the threat and hopefully will have informed the new recruits of real danger he can impose in the air.

However Villa players will be in the same mind set with the return of Garth Barry to Villa park
a clear and present danger if there ever was one.

The likely hood of Barry getting a warm welcome from his former Clubs supporters are about the same as Tevez Received in the swamp or Adebayor having roses thrown at him on his return to London,

Barry's Departure from Villa was quickly followed by slandering his name as a money grabber etc only a handful of Villa fans across the Blogs & media thanked him for 12 faithful years and the
sweat and tears Gareth felt like a change and and a new challenge with a team who were trying to become one a the greats.

I don't think I need to get into who the danger men for Villa one that seems to do it when it counts is Agbonlahor with Martin O' Neill this week saying he is to Villa what Rooney is for Utd,

John Carew, & Milner along with Agbonlahor can be very overpowering

Ashly Young can blow hot & cold but that been said when hes on form hes game changer

I highly rate Delph I watched him last season for Leeds mainly on highlights but week in week out he seemed to be there doing the biz from them Leeds as per usual a selling club

Sidwell could be in the starting line up and a handful if hes allowed space this lad need to be closed down fast.

I hope City can keep the form going and that Hughes starts the same line up as against West Ham

City 2 -0 Villa

If City are on form and defensively alert

Hammers Visit to C.O.M.S

This Monday night City welcome West Ham Utd to Manchester which I sure we all hope that will be a good game of ball with last weeks away performance now a sure sign that City are here to get the job done I have to say even though we lost in an unfair manner City will always stand back up and battle on and to score 3 at the swamp is no easy task for any team so our away form is already a hell of a lot better than last season.

West Ham are going to come all guns blazing with yet again the opposition players again talking about City in the press about how they don't fear City which is fine but if City are no worries then why air your insecurities in the national media.

Like Sir Taggart of Salford saying the real Darby is Liverpool however after the game it was the beat Darby in years.

like that plank Neville good help him he is the pinnacle of simple footballers and I've no problem writing this because the likely hood is he cant read any why last week City were no treat to Manure however this week he reckons City are now a team to be taken seriously.

Giggs at least said the most sensible thing wishing City the best as two top teams can only be good for Manchester.

Point is maybe West Ham should think about letting Noble not doing interviews for a while its common knowledge that lad cracks under pressure and his insecurities about City are all to plain to see.

West Ham under Zola have come on in leaps and bound however with Roque Santa Cruz on the bench waiting and hoping to be giving a run out He may well come with a hugh point to prove.

I'm a betting man on football and I'm going to say 3-1 City as I think Cole will get one before Toure and co come up with a solution to stop him.

Disgrace Salford Utd rob City and Time

I'm disgusted at present so i going to keep this short and sweet it was a good game and City never said die however the manner of the winning goal is no short of a disgrace extra time really does mean until Salford Utd score it was a joke !!
I'm sure that City will be making a complaint about the officials and the amount of extra played but that will get us nowhere as the damage is done.

Bang Bang City Shot Them down, Bang Bang City Shot them down, City shot them down.

What a game we did see yesterday Saturday the 12th of September,

Was a glorious day sun splitting the skies buskers were plying their trade around the ground and the atmosphere was bubbling over with what might unfold from kick off at 3pm.

City came out along side Arsenal to great applause as always the name of the players were called out to the cheers of the fans with the exception of Adebayor who the Gooners booed,

No it got worse with shouting of abuse of all kinds at Ade but we all knew this was going to happen was he wrong to celebrate the goal in that fashion short answer is NO simple because City of Manchester Stadium is his home ground and he can do what he pleases in his OWN HOME.

Fans were outstanding today and drowned out the title tattle of Arsenal time and again which we need more of at all games was a great game to be roll on next week and the the trip to the swamp to see haw we fair against the old enemy Trafford Untied,

After Abebayor scoring against his former club lets hope Tevez is fit and ready to do some damage to em.

Was a great display of football from City except in the closing minutes of the game when they allowed Arsenal to throw everything at them and claw one back

As I said what A day.

City 4 - 2 Arsenal.

Busk For City

Busk for City!

Manchester City F.C. are on the lookout for buskers and acoustic acts to perform outside the City of Manchester Stadium before City home games this season. In conjunction with the Umbro Playlist we need four acts each matchday to entertain the crowds as they arrive at the ground.

Chosen artists will be asked to perform for approximately an hour before kick-off and will also receive a pair of tickets to the match. Any money collected through busking will be given to one of the clubs’ associated charities.

The first game we need buskers for is Arsenal on September 12th.

Sunday News round up

Toady tabloid papers are suggesting that Man City are willing to part with Robinho in exchange for Thierry Henry which is then spread by a number of well there is no nice way to say this but in my opinion rumour spreading rags and news wires

The Sunday Mirror says Barcelona still believe a deal can be resurrected for City’s £32.5million British record signing in January - if the Blues can line up a world-class name to replace him.
European champions Barca are willing to include Thierry Henry in part-exchange for Robinho.
But the 32-year-old French striker no longer represents the sort of player City’s Arab owners want to bring to the club as the next stage of their strategy to become a major footballing force.

Why would City want to part with a marquee signing just because he did not play one game and to rub salt in to the wound for a 32 year old player who don't get me wrong was and still is one of the best players to ever dawn a pair of football boots but near the end of his best a player who with his age taken into account may be worth 10m at best and a straight swap for a player who was bought for and still worth the 32m price tag .

Surely this mean that City have been telling my good friend Richard Dunne lies in that he was sold for the fact that they need money which I will not raise here as it is a sore point if that is the case as it would be a major insult to any player seeing the Club spend as they did in the transfer window.

However if this is indeed for the best for the club my opinion is little more than a personal one as Richard Dunne is a firm fave of mine but as I said if it is for the best interest of the Club than it should be seen as

"No one man is greater or bigger than the well being of the Club"

I would like to thank Richard Dunne for the years at City and Wish him all the Best at Aston Villa where I think with Martin O'Neill he may be out to prove a lot of the Critics wrong

Best Wishes Dunny least I still get to cheer you on in the Green of Ireland.
